Blood blister on tonsil? - blood blister throat

I woke up this morning with a very sore throat. I rinse the mouth with mouthwash to about 5 times to gargle with salt water several times. I've never had a blood blister in my mouth and I heard they arent painful, but I feel so painful, and I think it's because it has caused me to become swollen tonsils. The hard to see what can not be sure, but certainly dark and one inch in diameter. Do you think it is a blood blister? How do I treat it?
